Homeward Bound

After spending a pretty sleepless night in the hospital, it was determined that Grayson likes to be swaddled in the hospital blanket better than our own personal swaddle blanket. Once we figured that out about 4am, it was pretty smooth sailing. We woke up, told the nurse we were ready, and she got the ball rolling for us.
Baylor is full of some pretty colorful people. Everywhere I went there was always some crazy, charismatic, super nice, or super weird person ready to talk to me. So as I'm about to take this picture, this guy jumped into the background.
We made it home on Labor Day just after lunch time, which was early than we thought we'd make it given the bureaucracy of the process. It was nice for Lydianne having a couple extra days to heal in the hospital, but it sure was nice to come home. Additionally, instead of 100+ degrees, it was in the 80's! A beautiful/wonderful day.

YAY! Congratulations guys, you have such a beautiful family. Hospitals are so hard to ESCAPE! It sounds like you had a great staff. You guys are amazing parents!

chase was the same way with the hosputal swaddle blanket...so we were pretty annoyed that they reuse theirs. needless to say we were thrilled when we got to come home with lots this time (simply because they used them to prop the twins up because they were too tiny for their carseats but still!) but if course the twins couldnt care less what they are wrapped in! congrats to you guys. he is beautiful!
