We had a great family vacation with my parents and sisters and their husbands in Branson. We stayed at the Marriott resort there, which was good, because the rest of the town was a dump. We spent the week swimming, playing games, just relaxing, and of course going to see the sites in Branson. One memory we made was the Amazing Pet Show, which was only amazing in how sad it was. The whole time I kept thinking to myself, "Is this what they imagined they'd be doing when they grew up?" It was the only show we thought Annelise would sit through, but we were wrong, she didn't. But other than that, the rest of the week was a blast.
The resort had a fire pit where they provided supplies for s'mores. Our last night there, my uncle wandered over to the fire pit and asked for some supplies from the guy sitting there so we could make some. He kindly obliged. I came over a little later and commented on how different it was from the last time, as there weren't people swarming the place, there weren't resort workers standing around to collect the sticks, etc. Come to find out, we pilfered someone's private stash and they were just being nice!
After our 2nd long day at Silver Dollar City, Harrison was going strong. Annelise and her parents, however, were done.
