Yeah, yeah, I know we've been bad about updating lately, but I'm not going to apologize. We've been busy with Kris going back to work and the kids going back to Sylvia's full-time, so get over it people! Now that I have a minute (which I really don't, I am just procrastinating housework), I thought I would share some pictures of the trip we took to the zoo today. We went to the Dallas Zoo(because we had a coupon), which isn't all that great of a zoo, but Harrison LOVED it. He's at that age where he loves animals, so he wanted to pet all of them, even this guy (check out those teeth!):
Annelise was there, too, though she mostly just chilled in her stroller.
Training to be a real crocodile wrangler.
We saw some pretty rambunctious monkeys, too, and that is where Harrison was able to share some of his knowledge of the world (which he learned from us, since he's our little monkey). He told the monkeys, "No hitting" and he asked daddy "Monkey okay?" when one fell.
Another highlight of the trip included seeing the giraffes up close. You could pay money (like $5) to buy a leaf of lettuce (what a rip off!) to feed the giraffes, but we just walked in to the feeding area and stood next to people who had lettuce (yeah...we're cheap like that). Harrison got brave and reached out to touch it, but then he decided that he wasn't THAT brave. Kris and Harrison went into the bug exhibit, which I heard was pretty cool, too. Sadly, we walked around this HUGE gorilla exhibit and did not see one gorilla. There was also no hippo, which is what Harrison had been asking to see on the car ride to the zoo. Also, no lions, we barely saw the back of a tiger (if we squished our bodies up against the glass and looked sideways) and no bears, either (can they even call themselves a zoo?). There were a lot of birds (including some really huge birds that I have never seen before, like the Condor). There was also a monorail you could take to see more animals, but we didn't do that...I'm not sure if we missed out. Luckily, the weather was okay and it really wasn't crowded, so that was nice.
More updates are coming. I'll try to get a video of the baby "crawling" (she still mostly just army crawls, but she is pretty speedy) and a picture of her new teeth (she has bottom ones and is starting to get top ones, too) on here soon.

Well I am glad Harrison enjoyed himself in the almost a zoo, zoo. I think that sometime that you come to Atlanta, you should take a trip to the wild animal safari in West Point, GA. It's an hour drive but you get to feed the animals on a "safari". It's really neat and Harrison would probably love it!
Thank you so much....Believe me I know how busy you guys are. I appreciate you updating so very much. They are adorable and grow up so fast.
Love,
Grandma
