Halloween

Thanks Amber.

Ok, now I get to add my 2 cents...

How weird is it that for the first time in my 30 years on the Earth, I was finally a character from Star Wars for Halloween? I mean, I've been just about every movie monster there is, every scary thing, and tons of cute kiddie things, but never anything from Star Wars. Mom? Dad?

So despite the numerous sub-par recommendations from numerous people about what Harrison should be, the greatest Halloween costume for Harrison was the one Lydianne made for him. She decided she wanted to learn to sew. And on her first attempt(!) she made him the Yoda costume. I am so proud of her. She did such a great job and he looked so cute. He especially loved to chew on the ears. So for weeks she's been researching what to do, how to do it, and giving up all of her evenings and weekends trying to get this done, while suddenly having to work overtime at work and trying to take care of everything else. She did an amazing job. So while anyone could have gone to the store and bought a cute costume (not that there's anything wrong with that, there are plenty of cute ones and we saw plenty of them), it just doesn't compare to the time, love, and effort that she put into making this costume. We had a great Halloween.

Plus, come on! It's Star Wars! And Lydianne wants to make sure everyone knows she is Queen Amidala, Anakin Skywalker's wife.

It looks like fun....great idea!!
Sorry Kris.....talk to dad....he was always the creative one with the ideas and he was the one in charge of going to the movies.....at least you didn't make Little Harrison wait 30 years to be a Star Wars Character...:)!!!
Love you all,
Mom

Hey - in our defense, your father made sure you were what ever character or thing you asked him to create. There were some pretty good ones too. In other words, I did what ever you told me to do. I would have tried my best to make you a Star Wars character but it wouldn't have been as cute as you guys were this year. Good job!

Yeah, I was pretty sure I got to be whatever I asked to be. Except when mom wouldn't let me buy a Freddy Krueger glove. But I bought one the first Halloween I was out of the house. Did I really ask to be Woodstock though?

You guys were great to dress up--not like us non-dressing-up party-poopers. We had a great time that night. It was fun to associate with people from the ward outside of church!
