Is It Really November?

Lydianne has wanted to go to the Dallas Arboretum all October to take pictures. Today was the last day we could do it, so after a crazily busy month, we were finally able to go. It was hot and crowded, but still alot of fun. She did a great job preparing and made a picnic for us and everything. It also allowed us a 2nd chance to get some pictures of the little monster smiling around some pumpkins. The arboretum has a "Great Pumpkin Festival" in the Fall, so we decided to go. Lydianne thought that since Halloween was over maybe it wouldn't be so crowded...yeah, that wasn't the case. If you have the chance to go, you should definitely take it. Be sure to bring a camera, as well as some patience.
Despite getting to taste our lunch, Harrsion was happier eating grass and leaves.
While we were eating, we had a Red-Headed Woodpecker in the tree next to us. Lydianne had never seen one up close actually doing its thing.
The gardens were beautiful, though filled with people, so it was hard to take any good wide angle shots. I took this really quick before anyone could walk in front of us.

This is why we love our stroller. While other people were carrying their kids and pushing/dragging their wimpy strollers up this rocky/pot-hole filled hill, we just walked up. No problem.
