Summertime Summertime Sum-sum-summertime

We had a great 4th of July. My parents came to visit for the weekend, and we were able to take a posed picture in the backyard. (How did we get him to look at the camera? We're smart like that...) We didn't take too many pictures over the weekend, but we were busy and had alot of fun over the weekend. It was great to see our long-lost neighbors from Arlington on Friday, then we had breakfast with the missionaries on Saturday, a BBQ, and Fireworks. Sunday was church, then suddenly they were gone. Now it's time to finally focus on all of the projects I have been avoiding all summer.

One of Harrison's favorite foods is Goya black beans. It is used in Cuban cooking all of the time, so it is a good thing he likes them. It's alos nice because I don't mind checking to see if it's too ot for him to eat. The only thing is, he typically needs a bath when he's done...
He actually stayed pretty clean here. Normally it is all down both arms, in his ears, up his nose, all in his hair, and all over his tummy, despite the small curtain he wears.

Great pic! I am impressed you got him to look at the camera. You need to tell me your secret...maybe I can use it on Dylan!!
It's funny, I never tried black beans with the kids that little. It's great that he's such a good eater. Thanks for sharing!
love you,
jen

We had so much fun and I can't wait to come back. Three days is not enough time and we were so busy!! I hope you had a good Birthday Kris....you never got to blow out candles and share with Harrison. Maybe you can re-do your Birthday and celebrate with Lydianne's. I hope she has a Great day tomorrow. We love you guys so much!!
