Danger Bear

Before Harrison was born, we decided not to tell anyone his name so that we wouldn't hear any negative feedback from anyone. It wasn't intended to turn into a guessing game, but that's pretty much what ended up happening. Lydianne and I decided to come up with our own nickname for him and decided on Danger Bear. Danger because, come on, what girl could resist a guy whose name was Danger; and Bear because of Bear Grylls from Man vs. Wild. For those of you that don't know who that is, he's this awesome outdoorsman who teaches people how to survive in the wild in extreme conditions if they were to ever get stranded. One of the highlights of the show is the stuff that he is willing to eat. This includes biting the heads off of living things, and cooking the remains of animals he finds laying in the wilderness.

The other day, while the rest of the country was freezing, we had a beautiful warm, sunny day. Now that Harrison is old enough to kind of know what is going on, I decided we would go play outside in the yard. At first he was a little hesitant to crawl on the grass, and he tried to hold his feet up so they wouldn't touch. But after falling over a couple of times, he finally gave in. Here's our Danger Bear in action!
